Booty for Boobies is a crew of breast avengers raising treasure for the chests. We host an annual Pirate Party focused on the task of raising money that is contributed directly to breast cancer research. Through the generous donations of sponsors, we are able to give 100% of the door proceeds at our event to the American Cancer Society in support of their Making Strides Against Breast Cancer program.

"About 10 years ago I was invited to a 'Talk Like a Pirate Day' party and I was hooked. The thought that for just one night I could be as crusty of a barnacle as I wanted was awesome. For years we continued to have the party, but as it grew I couldn't help but think there was a better purpose for it.
A few years ago a friend of mine went through her own battle with breast cancer; a young, fit, outgoing and powerful woman who I could not believe had cancer. She fought and she survived. This encounter with breast cancer made an impression on me. It made it real, a threat that I have a hard time accepting. I was compelled to make a difference, to help fight against this random menace. The pirate party was ripe for this challenge...how could we have so many great people all in one place and not leverage our resources to make an impact? I am very proud of how well this party has transformed into a fundraiser for a cause and think that our fun, tongue in cheek approach made philanthropy more accessible to people who may not have been as motivated by traditional means of contributing. I hope you'll join the crew and join us in making a difference."
